The White Mountain School’s Winter Festival Weekend will benefit the HERA (Health, Empowerment, Research, Awareness) Foundation, a non-profit organization that funds research for ovarian cancer. This year’s event includes a Climb for a Cure, that will help HERA reach their goal of finding a cure for this under-recognized women’s health issue. If you’ve never climbed or you’re a seasoned veteran, join in on the fun! The top fundraisers will receive special prizes from HERA.
The Winter Festival events include the Climbathon at the White Mountain School, an ice climbing workshop on Saturday from 11a.m. to 3 p.m., and a telemark skiing workshop on Sunday from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m..
Legendary climber Henry Barber is this year’s honored guest. Saturday evening at 7:00 p.m., he will present “Journey to the Soul”, his worldwide quest for self-discovery as an adventurer and rock climber.
