The 8th Annual HERA Women's Cancer Foundation Climb4Life hosted by Utah-based Black Diamond will be held September 17-20 in Salt Lake City. The event, part of a national series that raises money for ovarian cancer research and awareness initiatives, roped in more than $100,000 last year! Join HERA as we bring together men, women and teens to climb for a cure, whether you are a newcomer or old pro. You, the participants, are really the heart of the event. We need your strength to help fight ovarian cancer and save the lives of women and girls!

Professional climbing stars like Joe Kinder, Jason Kehl, Heidi Wirtz, Katie Brown, Alli Rainey, Julia Niles, Kevin Wilkinson and many more come out to show their support and will be right beside you to help encourage you with your climbing and learning!

In the past, HERA has been able to send over 85 percent of the money from Climb4Life events to scientific and community grants as well as awareness initiatives.

Don’t climb? Want to run or walk instead, and still support the fight against ovarian cancer?

To reach a greater number of people and increase awareness of ovarian cancer symptoms, this year HERA is partnering with the University of Utah Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology, and Montrail, to present the Third Annual Susan Sandoval Run for Ovarian Cancer on Saturday, Sept. 19th. The running event that starts in Sugarhouse Park (1330-East 2100 South) in Salt Lake City offers participants a 1.5-mile and 3-mile course option, as well as a 1.5-mile walk; all events begin at 8:00 a.m. Registration for the event is $20 for adults and $10 for children (under 12), and each participant receives a t-shirt and goodie bag.
