Misty Murphy

Misty will be performing at the hangtime party on Thursday, September 17.

Misty Murphy is a singer/songwriter originally from Salt Lake City, UT. She has performed all over the US, and has created a loyal following. Her unique ethereal sound and haunting melodies have gained her the respect of critics around. She earned 'Best Female Vocalist' in Utah 2 years in a row by SL Weekly, and was a featured performer at the CMG Music Festival in Manhattan, NY. Misty has recorded two albums: Circles and Venus. On Venus she produced, wrote, mixed and played every instrument on it, a goal that she had had for years.

Misty now resides in southern Utah where she is able to balance playing music with her other passion, rock climbing. In 2009 Misty wrote 'Sean's Song' in tribute to the late Sean Patrick. Murphy wrote the song shortly after Ms. Patrick’s passing from complications related to ovarian cancer. You can download Sean’s Song from www.mistymurphy.com, and donate $1 to the HERA foundation.
