HERA & Awareness
- Over 20,000 Ovarian Symptom Cards are distributed each year to healthy women and supporters at races, fitness challenges, special events, yoga studios and competitions.
- Each year over 1,000 participants and sponsors of "Climb for Life" and related special fundraising events learn about ovarian cancer and are empowered to take charge of their health. Locations have included California, Colorado, Oklahoma, Washington, Oregon, Virginia,Maryland, Minnesota, and Nevada.
- An award winning documentary, Climb for Life, and NBC Jane Pauley’s Grand Teton Climb coverage raised national awareness.
- Continuing presentations to Rotary Clubs, women’s groups, hospitals, and special events raise awareness and educate local and regional audiences.
- Feature articles in magazines, including Climbing, Prevention, Her Sports, Self, MAMM, and Backpacker, educate and raise awareness to targeted audiences of healthy women.
- 1000’s of hangtags on Stonewear Women’s clothing, Bluewater Ropes, CAMP Helmets reach women and the where they play.
